She may be ravishing, but she’s also powerful, determined, and multi-faceted.
La Bonita Reina La Rouge is so much more than a pretty face. This talented performer began dancing at age 5, with skills that have taken her from dancing with the Houston Dynamo Girls, to dancing in music videos with artists such as Jermih and 50 Cent in Hollywood. From dancing on a reality show, to dancing with Houston’s M.L.S. team. And from dancing with the renowned burlesque troupe The Moonlight Dolls, to dancing in Houston’s newest and biggest cabaret show, The Neon Rouge.
She says, “My passion for dance and entertainment feeds my soul. It keeps me stress-free and helps me focus on the little things in life, which are really the ‘big’ things in life.”
But, her talents extend far beyond dancing. She’s actually the executive producer of The Neon Rouge, a dream she’s been working toward for years, and planning for two. Her time as a dancer led her to exploring makeup artistry, and eventually creating her own business as a makeup artist. Her love for cooking inspired her to create Le Sweet Pizza, her own dessert pizza business.
Are you keeping up? Because we can’t. But, somehow, the loving mom of three does.
Reina says she has a passion for purpose, and clearly one of her purposes is uplifting the people around her. With a deep love for and ability to connect with people — and a degree in Hospitality Management — this busy entrepreneur makes it a point to ensure every person she works with feels sincerely loved, appreciated, and cared for.
In makeup artistry, she creates custom blend cosmetics to ensure every single person looks their best, so they can feel their best. In baking, she pays the strictest attention to detail so that every order goes far and above what the customers request. In producing, she takes care to encourage, uplift, sincerely appreciate and thank every member of her cast and crew. She makes an effort to empower every person in her life, no matter their role.
It makes sense, given how empowered she is herself, a quality she attributes to burlesque. “Burlesque gives me the empowerment I need to embrace and honor my feminine divine and self-expression,” Reina shared. “It also allows me express my artistry and find freedom in the arts of dance, theatre, and the tease.”
You can see her mastery of the tease at work at her new show, The Neon Rouge Cabaret Show, on Tuesday, February 14 for their Valentine’s Day Special.
Before that, though, you can see her headline The Burly Soirée: Love In All Forms. The show will also feature performances from Divine Darlings Zucifer Morningstar, Sadie Mercedes, and Holly GoSpankMe; alongside Lady Annabelle, who also hosts and produces the show.
