It doesn’t matter what you try to throw at her; Rosie the Rivetting can do it!

This original Divine Darling just celebrated her first burlesque anniversary, after performing in 22 shows at 7 different venues across 3 different cities, and creating 12 different acts and 8 costumes, all the while moonlighting as an attorney.

Rosie grew up dancing, always hoping to continue dancing throughout her life. She found her outlet as an adult when she began taking burlesque classes at Houston Divine Studio, and it quickly became her passion. (If you couldn’t already tell by those impressive numbers above.)

“I love burlesque and feel like I’ve found my true calling in it,” Rosie shared. “It keeps me active, stimulates my creativity, and provides me with new challenges that keep me working hard.”

Rosie’s Leo Rising makes her a performer, but her Cancer Sun and Moon make her a star. She’s constantly ready to do everything up big, bright and shiny (Leo Rising), and her creativity and ability to tune into her emotions (Cancer Sun and Moon) help her to create beautiful, expressive performances that wow.

She’s quick to recognize everyone who has helped her create those stunning performances. “I am so grateful to everyone who has come to my shows and supported me over the last year,” she said. “I really couldn’t have done everything I have without the help of amazing people like Lady Annabelle, Valentina J’adore, Dahlia Derringer, Mak Fontina, and many others!”

When she’s not performing, preparing for performances, or lawyer-ing, Rosie enjoys a multitude of hobbies. But, her favorites are the ones that further allow her to tap into her creativity, like painting and cooking with and for the people she cares about. She adores Cajun food, so, of course BB’s Tex-Orleans is one of her favorite Houston restaurants (though she’s equally in love with Lucille’s and Superica).

While this burly girl is feeling that homebody lifestyle lately, she’ll still venture out to Agora, Dean’s Downton, Poison Girl, Catbirds and On the Kirb. And, you know, the bars and venues she’s performing at. The bars you can catch those upcoming performances at are Mob Bar Galveston with The Dollface Dames, Darwin’s for the Derringer-Do Revue, and various bars for haunted pub crawls for Nightly Spirits.

But, obviously the one we’re most excited about is 8th Wonder Distillery for The Divine Darlings’ Burly Soirée: Ho Ho Holidays on Sunday, December 11 at 2 pm. Tickets for our afternoon of holiday glitz and glamour start at $15, and can be purchased here.

Get your tush over to this fun show to see Rosie the Rivetting and Vixen Magnifique headline, alongside performances by Kinky Pinky, Divine Darlings Mary Jane Midnight and Foxy Tocin, and Divine Darlings Burlesque Troupe Leader Lady Annabelle. And look forward to all the dashing delights these ladies have planned for you!

Because we know you’re going to love the show, we’re giving you the chance to win a show flyer autographed by all the performers, or tickets to our January Soirée! Just bring with you a blanket or jacket (that we’ll donate to Star of Hope) or nonperishable food (that we’ll donate to Houston Food Bank) to enter the raffle.
